L E A V I N G

Nick Schotman - Contract expired

It may come as a surprise to you all, but after four incredible years it is all over for Nick Schotman. As one of the founders of the squad he was played many games for the club and has gone through an incredible transformation. What started out as a winger turned out to be a solid centre-back. We applaud his decision to step down to let others have a chance in the delta-squad. However, he will be missed, especially by our #8. Roy and Nick have played ball together for 11 years. Word has it that Nick might someday return, but will support us from the sidelines for the time being.

Falco Taal - Contract expired

The curtain has fallen for Falco Taal. Our Cristiano Ronaldo, FT7, will join the F-side of the delta-squad. During the 2017/2018 season we have had a large increase in followers. One of the factors contributing to this is the influence of Falco on and off the pitch. The flares, the beer and the chanting, Falco loved all of it and wanted to be a part of it. Word has it that Falco might someday return, but will support us from the sidelines for the time being.

Tarik Medjic - Sold

Our player with the most difficult to pronounce name is going to pursue his career elsewhere. Many teams had their eye on our midfielder, but eventually he choose sv DWO as the best career move. We see this move as a good move for Tarik, but a bad move for us. He will be playing across town with one of our rivals. We wish him the best of luck in all games not containing our team.

Bryan Toet - Sold

It may come as a surprise to you all, but after only two seasons Bryan is leaving the first team. He's going to continue to play for DSO, but not longer for the Delta-squad. We wish him the best of luck and will see him in the cafeteria.

Robbert Boers - Retired

Most of you would have seen this coming, but our number two has hung up his boots. He's pursuing a career in drinking beer in the Far East in Wageningen. We won't forget his motivation, if he was present. We wish him the best of luck!

J O I N I N G

Sico Boerboom - Joined

Our first signing of the summer 2018 transferwindow. He's going to strenghten our defense, since we lost several players in this area. You've seen him play for our team in a few games already, but his official debut awaits on the 8th of September. Welcome to the club Sico Boerboom (#2).

Erik Oude Alink - Joined

Our second signing of the summer 2018 transferwindow. He's going to strenghten our attack, since we lost two attackers. You've seen him play for our team in a few games already, even in goal, but his official debut awaits on the 1st of September. Welcome to the club Erik Oude Alink (#15).

Carlo Selbach - Joined

Our replacement for Nick in defense is Carlo Selbach. He's going to strenghten our defense, as he has done once of twice before. His official debut awaits on the 1st of September. Welcome to the club Carlo Selbach (#11).

Ruben Vriesde - Joined

Our newest and, for now, last signing of the summer 2018 transferwindow. He's going to strenghten our midfield, since Mitchell is going to travel the world for a few months. You've seen him play for our team once already where smashed a goal in, bludgening the keeper in the proces. His official debut awaits on the 1st of September. Welcome to the club Ruben Vriesde (#7).

Thomas van der Heijden - Re-joined

This might shock you, it might also be the one thing you were hoping for. Thomas van der Heijden is COMING BACK. He has taken those boots he hang up after the 2016/2017 season and is returning to our club. His career in Rugby hasn't gone quite as planned and he has chosen to get back to what he did before that. We're not saying that we saw this coming, but we most definately saw this coming when he "retired". You know who he is, what he can do and what he can't do. Welcome back Thomas van der Heijden (#16).

Niels Kuperus - Joined

In a surprising turn of events, we have a new last signing of the summer 2018 transferwindow. Negotiations have been going on for quite some time, uncertainty for the player and for the club. He's going to strenghten our squad, since another transfer fell through due to logistical reasons. His official debut awaits on the 8th of September. Welcome to the club Niels Kuperus (#17).
